Personal Statement
As long as I can remember, I have always been a seeker of knowledge. I was never satisfied with the surface of things. If I saw an object I would question it. If someone presented a topic to me I would dissect it to gain a deeper understanding of the topic. I obviously love learning and it is surely no coincidence that I am majoring in Liberal Studies; the major dedicated to the study of knowledge.
I transferred to SFSU as a Liberal Arts major after completing my general education at City College of San Franicisco. This semester (my first semester) I experienced my first Liberal Studies class, LS:300. This class has layed down the foundation for understanding how to approach academic disciplines whether it is through an interdisciplinary approach or ect. This has been very helpful in understanding how to navigate my major.
Taking my first Social Science class, SS:300, has inspired me with its content, that I have considered minoring in it. There is something so intriguing about the study of how people behave and interact that I find incredibly interesting.
The next three semesters will be filled with core and emphasis classes for the Liberal Studies program and an eager mind determined to do well.
